We know a lot of you have been hungry for some more classes, and we’ve been hard at work to secure instructors for our next round. While we are still working on developing more, I’m happy to announce the following classes and events in the coming weeks:
3D Printing Meetup & Demonstration – Free event and demonstration. Will be held on June 27th from 7-10pm. Please bring your 3D printers and prints. Also, Kevin Besig will be hosting a demonstration on the technology during the event.
Table Saw Basics & Demo – Free instructional demonstration on basic table saw techniques by experienced woodworker Jeff Faust. Will be held on July 11th during two sessions starting at 7 and 8 pm.
Intro to Screen Printing for Adults – 4 week course beginning July 14th on basic screen printing and photo emulsion techniques. Taught by Harold Copp, an experienced screen printing artist with numerous gallery associations in the area. Age 18 and up.
Intro to Screen Printing for Youths – 4 week course beginning July 15th with same course work as adult course, but specifically aimed at youths aged 12-17. Taught by Harold Copp, who has experience teaching screen printing to kids.
Weekly Open House – Every Thursday from 6-10pm. Please stop by to check out our space, inquire about joining, or to just hang out with other makers. All are welcome to attend.
We also have character design, more woodworking classes, and electronics for youths/adults in the works. If interested in any of these or other offerings please check our Eventbrite periodically. Furthermore if you would like to hand out flyers for these events/classes or if you would like to instruct a class yourself, please feel free to contact me or respond to this email.
The main area to report on our status is that we are open to the public and handing out key fobs to new members! This gives all members personal access to the space any day of the week from 8am – 10pm.
If you are interested in joining please see our membership page to join, download the new member orientation packet, and sign up for a safety orientation. Upon completing the orientation for safety and membership, you will become a full member and be given access to the space.
Thank you to all for your continued support!
