If there are no objections I'd like to schedule another meeting in early June on a weeknight or Saturday morning. We can meet at my house again but I'd like to find an alternative location just in case the group becomes too large for it (> 8 people). I'd also like to pick a date and time soon, so we can provide more notice this time.
I'd also like to hear suggestions for the agenda. What are the most important things that we need to talk about?
Afterwards I'd be up for plastering Monroe & Park Avenues with flyers if we have some ready by then.
I would be fine with a meeting but it would have to be a Saturday. Why don't we meet somewhere outside, at a public place? That's as long as the weather permits of course. I will be busy with school, but as long as we lock something down pretty soon here I should be okay.
I'm about to start sending emails out, asking for other Makerspaces' knowledge and experiences. I posted a topic with those questions, since no one has replied I am going t begin sending those out. Those will be followed up with a return of the questionnaire or a telephone interview. I will then try to get that data together, and hopefully I will be able to bring it to the meeting.
For one, I think we need to get more flyers up, as well as people involved. I don't think the logo is of the utmost importance as it is still very early, and it could be changed. I just think that awareness, and getting the art community involved is key at this point. I also believe that we should try to find people who would be willing to devote time to teaching classes and offering instruction on the use of tools. It would be good to build up a list of these people, as I think it would help with our business plan. I have spoken to a few people about it, and am working with my neighbor about his contacts as well. And that's really all I got for now.
Oh, and would it be possible to get credentials to make some blog posts? Just a thought.
Edit: I also think it would behoove us to make a Facebook page, Twitter feed, and a Pin on Pinterest. I think it could really help spread awareness. I know it sounds silly but if we had a facebook "Like" button for instance it would share it to that users feed and bring it to new people's attention.
Agree that Saturday meeting sounds like the best.

Also agree about the Facebook, Twitter and Pin. I think I've posted that statement a few times already today so, if I don't see any objections I'll start work on these later this weekend. Will also work plugins into the site so we don't have duplication of work as far as what gets posted to each; more work is the last thing we need
I can also maintain all of them, I'll simply add them to my rotation of sites to maintain/upkeep; too easy.
It doesn't matter, but I prefer a Saturday also. How about June 2nd at 9:30, 10:00 or 10:30 (pick one).
I'll provide bagels & OJ. I'll also see what it will take to get the use a meeting room at the Penfield or Webster library. We may not need one this time but sooner or later we probably will.
