I am an Test Engineer by trade, but love to tinker and do basic wood working. I found this goup when I was searching for someone to teach my son and I how to weld. I am going to try to make the meeting this Thursday.

Hope to help this group move forward with their plans.

Welcome Chuck!  We already have a MIG welder and a plasma cutter.  And if we move into Sean's space we'll also have access to a nice TIG welder.  I don't know if Sean can teach you how to weld. I can MIG and TIG weld but I not qualified to teach you more than just the basics.  I'm optimistic that we'll be able to attract more experienced teachers and mentors after we rent a space.

I'll be easy to recognize Thursday.  Look for a very tall guy.  If there's more than one then look for someone who's 50-something with grayish brown hair and a short beard.
