Hey everyone,

I recently saw a few posts on craigslist and I'm very interested in this idea! I think it would be great for the city to have a space like this. Anyway, I just graduated from Purchase College of Art and Design with a BFA in painting and printmaking. So I'd love to meet other creative people in Rochester since I think I may be sticking around here for a while.

I missed the last couple meetings but I'd love to come to the next one. I'm home for the summer and leaving to travel in September for a month and a half but then I'll be back and would be more than happy to contribute some of my time to support this idea. I'm pretty organized and also know a lot about printmaking so if anyone is interested in having that be something in this space let me know. I recently built an exposure unit so I can keep making screenprints (here is a link to my site http://www.heatherswenson.com) now that I'm out of school. I hope to get a studio in the Hungerford soon and move into the city somewhere, though I'm currently in Irondequoit.

So yeah, I'd definitely like to be involved in some way and hear all of your ideas.

Hi Heather!

Welcome aboard! Currently there is a ton of planning, thinking, writing, and decision-making to be done as we try to get this project launched. We realize that not everyone has the time or the energy to jump right in, but if you're game, we would certainly love the help! It might be good for you to start poking around the discussion board here to see what's going on. We're trying to refine our vision as well as research other maker spaces, choose a location, and start writing up our strategice plan.

Hope to see you at the next meeting!
